ELH High Fives Dance Five

Articles

After weeks of training and weeks of waiting, the East Los High Bomb Squad finally appeared on Dance Five and they were crackin! The routine was perfect, even the judges thought so. Even without star dancer, Ceci Camayo who’s pregnant, the Squad scored a 92 out of 100 points. At the viewing party in the East Los High gym the crowd when wild when new Bombshell, Jessie Martinez strutted her stuff like a sex symbol. But, where were the smiles, Jessie?

The Bomb Squad score was enough to get them into the Dance Five Finals where they’ll compete against Washington High School for the $5,000 prize. “We rocked their world!” yelled Dance Captain, Vanessa de la Cruz. “They ain’t never seen anything so bomb as the Bomb Squad!”

When asked about the cause of their success Vanessa replied, “Me and the Bombshells worked our asses off.”

Coach Cristian Camacho agreed, saying. “The bombshells made my job easy. I mean I had some resistance in the beginning, but when it came down to it they fell in line and did just what I needed them to do.”

When asked about Coach Camacho’s contribution, Vanessa shrugged her shoulders and said, “Yeah, he was a’right. He accomplished part of his task. But, I’m still waiting to see if he comes through with the real goods,” obviously referring to the Finals. Coach Camacho quickly gained a reputation for total dedication to the Squad, he even provided individual coaching to at least one Bombshell and made himself available after hours. Clearly his work paid off, but when Vanessa was asked if the Coach would continue to work with the Bomb Squad, she replied “I think his work with the actual dancers is done.” So, now it will be up to the dancers themselves to keep up their training so that they’ll be ready for the Dance Five Finals.
